Ship Ahoy

A ship carrying medical supplies and baby food was able to dock in Misrata on Monday, according to the International Committee of the Red Cross.

This was the first ship to arrive since last Wednesday, when Gadhafi’s forces fired a barrage of rockets into the port whilst the International Organization of Migration was evacuating nearly 1,000 people.

Apart from the rocket attacks on the Port, sea mines had been sown in the approaches to the harbour. These were intercepted and defused by Nato naval vessels,

Given the dire shortage of food and medical supplies, Nato must aid the rebels in keeping the Port open at all costs!
