Russia and China could do a better job?

Much criticsm has been heaped opon Nato by  Russia – and today by China:

China’s Foreign Ministry has renewed its call for a ceasefire in Libya after reports that a NATO airstrike killed the son of leader Moammar Gadhafi, saying it is concerned about civilian casualties in the fighting there.

And from Russia:

The disproportional use of force, all the more so, beyond the mandate of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1973, which in no way stipulates the replacement of the Libyan leadership, is leading to harmful consequences and the death of civilians,” according to a Russian Foreign Ministry statement quoted by RIA Novosti on Sunday.

The statement comes a day after Libyan ruler Muammar Gaddafi’s youngest son, Saif al-Arab, and his three grandchildren were killed in an airstrike on a house in the Bab al-Aziziyah area of Tripoli

In the capital, Tripoli, a crowd of more than 1,000 people attended the funeral of Saif al-Arab Gaddafi, the leader’s second youngest son, who was killed in an allied air strike on Saturday night.

Col Gaddafi himself did not attend (SUPRISE SURPRISE), but two of his other sons, Saif al-Islam, who has the highest profile and was seen as his father’s intended successor, and Hannibal were both seen in the crowd.

Some mourners fired weapons into the air. Others chanted “revenge for the martyrs” and carried placards reading “We are all with Gaddafi’s Libya”, according to news organisations.

I have an idea. let’s pull Nato out of Libya and then Russia and China can take over.

After all these two giants are well known for their records of human rights!

They’ll be much kinder – I don’t think!
